Urgency of the research. The article highlights the relevance of use of the information and communication technologies in the process of forming the cultural competence of future primary school teachers.

Target setting. It is summed up that the modern information space, on the one hand, stimulates the desire of a growing individual for learning new things, being creative, personal development. On the other hand, the fact that the rapidly changing view of life and self-perception of the person sometimes leads to negative tendencies: changes in value orientations, separatism, nationalism, search for solutions to emerging issues in alcohol and drugs, disorientation in the environment under the influence of mass media, which has a negative effect on physical and spiritual well-being.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The problem of professional training of future primary school teachers was the subject of research by scholars who analyzed ways to improve it in Ukraine (A. Aleksyuk, S. Goncharenko, S. Lysenkova, N. Nichkalo, O. Savchenko, L. Horuzha, M. Fitsula et al.) And codon (O. Voloshina, O. Gordiychuk, L. Zablotskaya, N. Motruk, Y. Solovyov, etc.).

The research objective. The purpose of the article is to outline the potential for the use of information and communicat ion technologies in the process of forming the cultural competence of future primary school teachers.

The statement of basic materials. It is claimed that currently the information technologies have a significant didactic potential, which allows to incentivize students to achieve personal goals in education, including in the acquisition of cultural competences. The aims and objectives of higher pedagogical education provided for by current educational standards include the mastering the basic knowledge and skills, including cultural competency, which is particularly relevant to primary school teachers in the framework of the increasing trend towards globalization.

Conclusions. It is emphasized that the use of ICT considerably expands the composition and capabilities of the elements of the information education environment. Thus, the sources of information study include: various information and reference systems and databases, e-learning guides, encyclopedias, the Internet resources. Among the tools of educational and cognitive activity of future primary school teachers are computer simulators, programs, local computer networks or the Internet. It is found that the key component in the information educational environment is the computer as a tool for processing of educational material, communication, updating of the knowledge-based system, self-realization of future primary school teachers, project development. The use of computers in the educational process changes the role of learning tools used in the teaching of different academic disciplines, changing the learning environment.
