Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the journal the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, which allows others to freely distribute the published work, provided that proper reference is made to the authors of the original work and to its first publication in this journal.

Authors have the right to enter into separate additional agreements concerning the non-exclusive distribution of the work in the form in which it was published by this journal, for example by placing the work in an institutional repository or publishing it as part of a monograph, provided that reference to the first publication of the work in this journal is maintained.

The author’s submission of their own materials for publication in the Licensee’s editions shall constitute acceptance of the terms of the Agreement set out below.

By this Agreement, the author confirms that the submitted material:

  • does not infringe the copyright of other natural or legal persons;
  • has not previously been published by other publishers and has not been submitted for consideration to other journals.

The rights transferred by the author to the Editorial Board of the collection include:

  • publication of the article in English or Ukrainian and distribution of its printed version;
  • translation of the article into English, where necessary for materials submitted in Ukrainian, and distribution of the printed version of such translation;
  • dissemination of the electronic version of the article by any electronic means, including publication on the official website of the journal, in electronic databases, repositories, and similar platforms.

The author retains the right, without approval from the Editorial Board and the founders, to:

  • use the materials of the article in full or in part for educational purposes;
  • use the materials of the article in full or in part in preparing their own dissertation;
  • use the materials of the article for preparing abstracts, conference papers, and oral presentations.

In all such cases, it is mandatory to provide a bibliographic reference to the article or a hyperlink to its electronic copy available on the official website of the collection.

Accordingly, the journal’s policy permits and encourages authors to post their manuscripts online, for example in institutional repositories or on personal websites, both before submission to the Editorial Office and during editorial processing, as this contributes to productive scholarly discussion and has a positive effect on the speed and dynamics of citation of the published work.


Public Agreement

on the Procedure for Publishing Authors’ Articles

  1. This Public Agreement, hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”, determines the procedure for publishing authors’ articles in the collection of scientific papers “Educational Discourse: Collection of Scientific Papers”.
  2. This Agreement constitutes a public offer in accordance with Article 633 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. The placement of the text of this Agreement on the official website of the collection of scientific papers “Educational Discourse: Collection of Scientific Papers” shall be deemed an offer addressed to an indefinite number of persons to conclude the Agreement under the terms set out herein.
  3. This Agreement shall be concluded by the author’s accession to its terms, that is, by the author’s full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of the Agreement without any reservations, exclusions, or additional conditions, in accordance with Article 642 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. Such accession shall take place after prior agreement of the article content between the author and the Editorial Office.
  4. Under this Agreement, the author shall act as the Licensor, and the publisher shall act as the Licensee.
  5. The author’s submission of their own materials for publication in the Licensee’s editions shall constitute acceptance of the terms of this Agreement.
  6. The author retains copyright in their work, while the publisher acquires the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution International License CC BY, including the right to:
  • publish articles in English and distribute their printed versions;
  • translate articles into English if they are submitted in Ukrainian and distribute the printed version of the translation;
  • distribute the electronic version of the article, as well as the electronic version of its English translation if the article was submitted in Ukrainian, by any electronic means, including publication on the official website of the journal, in electronic databases, repositories, and similar platforms.
  1. The publication of the author’s material in the collection of scientific papers “Educational Discourse: Collection of Scientific Papers” shall constitute confirmation of the distribution of rights between the Licensor and the Licensee.
  2. In the event of non-performance or improper performance of obligations under this Agreement, the Parties shall bear liability in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
  3. Disputes and disagreements that may arise in connection with the performance of this Agreement shall be resolved through negotiations between the Parties.
  4. In all matters not regulated by this Agreement and not contrary to its terms, the Parties shall be governed by the current legislation of Ukraine.
