Urgency of the research. Modern monitoring systems of the information and education environment are able to collect and accumulate information on educational outcomes. But in the training of engineers, electronic monitoring systems are not used in full, but only fragmentarily. Therefore, there is a need to study the system of monitoring the information and education environment, which can be used to improve the quality of engineering education.

Target setting. An important aspect of using a monitoring system is the analysis of statistical information in the informational and educational environment and the correction of the supply of educational content on the basis of the information received.

Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. In the scientific works of V. Bykov, R. Gurevich, M. Kademii, S. Litvinova, the informational and educational environment was presented as an educational system that provides openness of education. Scientists V. Bespalko, S. Shishov and V. Kallney are investigating the monitoring of the quality of education at school; A. Mayorov analyzes the monitoring in education as a scientific and practical phenomenon; A. Dakhin – monitoring the success and effectiveness of educational work; G. Yelnikova investigates the monitoring of the activities of participants in the educational process.

The research objective. The purpose of this article is to study the application of the monitoring system of the informational and educational environment in the system of engineering education, determining the ways of submitting educational content in the light of statistical indicators.

The statement of basic materials. The article deals with the means of monitoring for higher education graduates of engineering specialties in the conditions of the informational and educational environment, such as methods of evaluation, analysis of answers and statistics. Monitoring of the training of higher education students in the informational and educational environment is carried out by analyzing systems that provide work with the following elements: monitoring of evaluations and answers for completed tasks, work with the thematic modules, theoretical content, practical tasks and test training simulators in the conditions of the informational and educational environment. This makes it possible to submit the content of education, taking into account the index of lightness and discrimination.

Conclusions. Applicants of higher education in engineering specialties in the process of performing tasks and obtaining grades form the statistical data of the course, according to which the teacher can assess the success of the tasks and take into account the shortcomings and correct them. Prospects for further research are the definition of a plan of action for the correction of facilities and the provision of educational content to the information and educational environment on the basis of the information received.
